“One of Us Is Lying” is a fun little mystery show that is fun, even though it is pretty silly and over the top. I particularly enjoyed the first season and thought the second was just okay. I haven’t read the book series but since this show was abruptly canceled recently, I may be interested enough to go back and read them. The characters are just high school show stereotypes for a modern age and sometimes the show hits a lot of familiar beats, but the central mystery in the first season is great. Overall, it is a quick and enjoyable watch for genre fans, but it is not going to be a show that goes down among the best.
