Atypical

“Atypical” is a series I had been following on Netflix for quite some time. After completing the final season, I am happy to report that this is a heartwarming and very consistent series. I thought all of the seasons were about equally good and the ending was solid and made sense. The show is full of heartfelt moments and seems to have an authentic portrayal of autism. One aspect of the series I liked a lot was how even the side characters all have engaging character arcs, so the show never feels like it is wasting time. Sometimes the show feels very realistic and other times it does definitely feel a bit more on the dramatic side, but I usually found myself binge watching seasons without any problem. Overall, this is a quick and enjoyable gem on Netflix that I am glad I have watched over the years.

4/5 STARS
