Assassin’s Creed: Origins

I had lost interest in the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise for a long time. The entries started to feel a bit stale, but I always considered myself a fan of every game I’ve played at some level. “Origins” is the best the franchise has been in a long time, and it’s gotten me interested in playing the entries that have come since it. This game is a great prequel to the series with a stunning open world and a great RPG-style setup. The game’s side quests are fun and fast, so leveling up never feels like work. The world is well-designed and it’s easy to gauge what missions I should take on and at what time. I liked the characters but think the story maybe wasn’t quite among the greatest this franchise has seen. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it and think it is among the most fun entries in the series which made up for any minor flaws. Overall, this was a great change for the franchise and I admire the developers of this game for taking all of the right risks and bringing something memorable like this.

4.5/5 STARS
