Vir Das’ newest special, “Landing,” is among the best I have seen in a long time. There are hilarious jokes throughout boosted by insightful commentary and great storytelling. I was engaged with the comedy special throughout and thought it ended in a spectacular and heartfelt way that made me want to rewatch it immediately. I’ve been a fan of every Netflix special thus far but I think this one might be the most meaningful and well-made one yet. In fact, I would go as far as saying that specials like this are why I consider stand-up comedy to be an art form and I think it is among my all-time favorite comedy specials the more I think about it.
