Love, Victor

“Love, Simon” was an absolute gem of a movie back in 2018 and a truly pleasant surprise. It was an even bigger surprise to see how good its spin-off, “Love, Victor” was. This show had me binge-watching every season with its well-thought story arcs and deeper exploration of its topics than its movie counterpart. I think the main character Victor Salazar is tremendously likable but also a big part of why I loved the show were the supporting characters who all had just as engaging arcs and conflicts. My main issue with the show is that the third and final season seems to wrap up a bit too nicely and quickly and it comes off as a bit abrupt. Nonetheless, it has been a wonderful journey following this series over the last few years, and think it is a rock-solid high school drama that is heartfelt and charming the whole way through.

4.5/5 STARS
