“After Life” is a great blend of both a sad drama and hilarious dark comedy. This series is from Ricky Gervais and I think it presents a lot of similar comedy topics his other work has touched on. I think the central story is an honest and human one that most people can empathize with. I started watching this series back when it first came out and have followed every season until then. It’s always been a quick watch and I enjoyed every season about evenly. My only real issue with the series is that it becomes repetitive sometimes. A lot of the jokes and the main plot point seem to be the same across different episodes. Nonetheless, I think this is a first-rate series and even though I am sad to see it go, I think it ended well and am excited to see what Gervais does next.
