I was rewatching the “Harry Potter” series and it was making me very nostalgic. It also made me realize I had many fond memories playing a lot of the video game tie ins, and I realized I head never played this one. I remember I checked out “Part 1” and it was enjoyable because I am a die hard fan, but the game was repetitive and fairly dull, which makes sense considering the movie it is based on is more tension filled and less action packed. This game also adopted the third person cover shooter style which I think works fairly well. I liked the mechanics of different spells, even though level design felt very repetitive. I also thought the game was extremely short, and thought they could have definitely found ways to make the lasting appeal longer. Overall, it is a flawed game, but it made me feel nostalgic and also made me even more excited for the “Harry Potter” RPG that is coming soon in the near future.
