If you watch “The Haunting of Bly Manor” expecting a series as memorable as “The Haunting of Hill House,” you can anticipate some disappointment. I don’t think this is a bad series, but it is far from being as scary as some of the best horror I have personally seen. This is more of a drama series that has some horror elements sprinkled in. Honestly, this doesn’t bother me, but what did bother me was how slow paced the series was and how convoluted it got near the end. The show has a general creepiness that kept me somewhat interested but there were many scenes that started to really drag for me. Overall, the series is unique and fine to watch one time, but as a whole I felt it could have been executed a lot better.
