“Schitt’s Creek” is a show that only just got on my radar in the last few years. When I looked at the history of this series it is truly an inspiring tale of how much it has grown. The creators of this show have crafted something truly special. It’s a celebration of love and acceptance that’s also laugh out loud hilarious often. I think there are many shows that are funny and heartwarming, but few do character development as exceptionally as this show did. I think that is partially a testament to how good all of the main actors are in this series, nailing both the comedic and dramatic moments consistently. The first season is the most heavily criticized, likely because the characters don’t start off very likable, but when I found myself enjoying that season from a comedy standpoint, I knew I was in for a treat. The final season swept the Emmy awards recently, and I can’t think of a show more deserving than this one. If you haven’t watched this uplifting and hilarious series, do yourself a favor and take the journey with these wonderful characters.
