“Little Fires Everywhere” is a pretty good drama, but it is most definitely a slow burn. I never read this book, so I am not evaluating this series as an adaptation but purely on entertainment value. I thought the show starts off with an intriguing premise with characters that aren’t always likable, but interesting to watch. The show gradually builds on the dramatic storylines that lead to an explosive finale that is fairly memorable. I did find myself losing interest at times but by the time it ended, the journey was worth taking. I think the acting is good for the most part, and Reese Witherspoon is particularly memorable. What I like most about this show, is that it forces the viewer to think about complex issues and topics. It uses a somewhat outlandish and oddly paced dramatic storyline to talk about real issues, and at the end of the day, that is commendable.
