“The Walking Dead” franchise from Telltale is a special franchise for me. It’s these games that sparked my interest in decision-based, story-focused games. The first two seasons are among my favorite games and I think this finale will be satisfying for fans. While I liked the previous entry, “A New Frontier,” I think it made a mistake with it not focusing on the character of Clementine. Her story is the heart of this series, and I liked being in her shoes again. This game doesn’t quite reach the highs of the first two seasons, but it comes pretty close. I found myself engulfed in the game and wanting to know what would happen next. I think the creators of this game truly thought about decision making and created more layers in controlling your relationships with certain characters. This game also incorporating more action scenes than other games, which were fun but also could be a bit frustrating in certain moments. I think the game works best when it involved me making choices and also choosing certain dialogue. Ultimately, if you’re a fan of this series, this is most definitely a great sendoff and should not be missed.
