While I think “Big Little Lies” might be a slightly overrated series, I still think it is a very good drama series. This is primarily due to the stunning performances from all of the lead actresses involved in this show. They all do a fantastic job and create characters that somehow feel both real and over the top. The first season of the show is a mystery that builds up to a stunning finale, while the second is more consistently tense drama. I personally thought the first season wasn’t always as well-paced as the second, even though I thought it had a better payoff. The consistent quality of the episodes in season 2 are why I like it a bit more, but I think this whole series is worth experiencing. Overall, it’s a good drama series with excellent performances that fans of this genre will eat up.
