Throughout “The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez,” I felt utterly disgusted and sick to my stomach. This Netflix documentary is far from easy viewing, but it is important. I didn’t know anything about this story and watching it was just devastating. As a documentary, it is a bit drawn out and can be repetitive in some of its middle episodes. However, this story is one that demands to be heard. Overall, I think despite being nearly impossible to get through it is essential viewing.
