“The Act” is a first-rate and effective miniseries from Hulu. This show got under my skin from the getgo. Its stranger than fiction story is hard to watch at times but I was engaged throughout. The show is powered by excellent performances from Joey King and Patricia Arquette. These two actresses worked well together and truly became their bizarre characters. The show does start to drag at times as the craziest events in the story happen near the beginning and end but I was always on edge because Arquette was so menacing and her character could do anything at any time. If you are fascinated by true crime stories, this series is definitely a solid one worth checking out.
