I’ve always been a fan of Ken Jeong, I think he’s a funny and likable guy. When I found out he was doing a Netflix special, I was curious, since I haven’t really seen him do this form of comedy yet. While this special isn’t particularly hilarious, I liked it. I think Jeong showcases some very honest storytelling which is an important aspect of stand up as an art form. I was genuinely interested in learning about his story and it honestly felt very inspiring. In terms of the jokes, it’s pretty hit or miss, but in terms of how much I was entertained by this special, I thought it was pretty solid overall.
