“The Comeback Kid” isn’t as strong as John Mulaney’s other special, “New in Town,” but has moments that are very funny. I think he showcases his ability to perform stand up via solid storytelling in this special. I laughed a good amount and enjoyed his quirky style and think fans of his should definitely check out this special. There is one story he shares close to the end that is a standout and makes the whole thing pretty memorable.
