So many people have told me to watch “Parks and Recreation” for years, and I finally went ahead and watched this series and I loved it. The show is a fantastic comedy, not because it’s perfect, but because it’s very consistent. Everything after the underwhelming first season is first-rate, and I have a hard time picking a favorite season after season 3. The show is constantly hilarious and the characters and fun and endearing with truly lovable characters. The show definitely has a similar feel to the successful U.S. version of “The Office” which makes sense due to the very talented writers of both of these series. I personally think I prefer “The Office” overall but I will say that “Parks and Rec” is the perfect length and never feels like it’s longer than it needed to be. This show put me in a great mood regardless of what type of day I was having and had plenty of moments that were genuinely touching. Ultimately taking the heartfelt and hilarious journey to Pawnee, Indiana is well worth the time.
