“House of Cards” is a mostly consistent series with an unfortunate final season. For someone who isn’t particularly political, this show managed to keep my interest with its complex storylines and characters. Just to get the main flaw out of the way, the final season was boring and not good whatsoever. The only thing I liked about it was Robin Wright’s performance. Look, I am completely aware that in the last few years, some terrible things have come up for the actor Kevin Spacey. However, I have to put that aside because his performance and his character is why I enjoyed this show and is why I still recommend it. The final season sloppily handles his departure from the series, and something just feels missing. It’s a good series that falls short of greatness due to circumstance but still kept me engaged for five of its six seasons.
