Fans of “Life is Strange” will enjoy this prequel overall. I think it gives more layers to the character of Chloe Price and sheds some light on Rachel Amber who is mentioned a few times in the series. I do feel the most compelling part of the original game was the element of time travel and with that gone, the game does come off as less exciting. Some of the gameplay is doing pretty mundane things and that can make the story drag at times. I still think the story has a good heart and definitely kept my interest. A few of the decisions that have to be made are tough but I’ve definitely played games like this that have much tougher situations to face. It’s a solid game that isn’t nearly as masterful as the original but is a nice little addition to this strange and emotionally involving universe.
